Recreational and Dreams: 9/25/2011
Recreational and Dreams or RAD put on a great event every year and it is hosted at the Pingatore’s Ranch just south of Chico, Ca. This event is to introduce children with cancer to the world of outdoors. Kayaking, boating, fishing and fly fishing were all on the menu, along with an excellent lunch. I am glad to say, I was there. I am looking forward to participating next year!
Salmon Festival: 9/24/2011
The Salmon Festival is held every year at the Oroville Hatchery. Chico Area Fly Fishers has and staffs a fly casting pond at this function to introduce all ages to the exciting sport of fly fishing. This is a great way to introduce anglers to our sport and to show everyone just how easy fly fishing and casting can be! Thanks for all of those that worked the casting pond, especially Eric See!
Tri-County Fly Fishers Fair, Redding,Ca - 10/8/11
The Tri-County Fly Fishers Fair in Redding, Ca. was a complete blast! There were a lot of activities to do; from fly tying, fly casting, spey casting, equipment swamp, but the best were good friends enjoying each other! I look forward to attending next year!
